When I first began this book, I almost immediately fell in love with the character of John Tyree. There was just so much to love and appreciate about his character. I flew through the first portion of Dear John in almost record time. But, after the “Dear John” letter, I just felt like the book slowly fell apart. I was hoping as I struggled through the second portion of the book, that it would pick up. And I was just extremely disappointed.
