I plowed through this book. Each chapter dragged on. The premise of the book was very interesting. Three sisters, very different but joined together by love of their family and the town they came from. I can't say I liked any of the sisters. Rose is controlling and a perfectionist. Rose is just plan bad--it was hard to find a redeeming quality. Cordy just needs to grow up. The mother(who doesn't have a name--what does that say) and the father really aren't developed. Not my usual type of read, that’s for sure. The tale of three sisters returning “home” to their very small town. They’re the best of friends and the worst of friends. They drive each other nuts. And their parents are equally strange but still very much in love...and afraid the cancer running through mom’s body will completely take over. I loved that books played such a major tile in this one. The avid reading reminded me of...well...me. I think I’ll harken this one to a coming of age story even
