What Members Thought
Although there were times at the beginning of this book when I would happily have thrown in the towel and abandonned it, I perservered and in the end quite enjoyed the later half. It is not the style of book I would normally choose to read but I feel good that I did in deed read this book as part of a group book read for November. On the whole I found the language too complicated and as if the author had swallowed a dictionary, and too philosophical. I would however, still recommend this book to

The Elegance of the Hedgehog is a novel that utilizes dual narrators: a precocious girl and an autodidactic concierge who live in a Parisian apartment where things are not what they appear to be. It sounds ridiculously pretentious, and it is.
