Since high school, my all-things-Greek obsessed friend has been shoving me (quite literally may I add) to read this book. I, being the great rebel I was, refused. Several years later - her nagging voice came back in my head during a game of Fruit Ninja - and I decided to give it a go. If my sarcasm bites, I'm apologize beforehand.

An amazing and fun way to learn about Greek myths, Gods and Goddesses! Percy Jackson finds out he's a half-blood- son of The God of Sea, Poseidon. He's being blamed for the theft of Zeus's lightning bolt and it is up to him to return the bolt to Zeus by the summer solstice, or the world will see a war.

one of my favorite books ever. loooooooooooooved it. I make everyone promise me they will not watch the movie until they read the book.With some books it may not matter but with this book it totally does. The movie at once changes the entire storyline and spoils a lot of the surprises in the book. READ THE BOOK FIRST. YOU WONT BE SORRY
