There might be something wrong with me, but all the superfluous detail - the Billy's Pan Pizza, the IKEA furniture, the coffee, the cheese sandwiches - was one of the reasons I liked the Larsson books so much. I actually googeld the pizza brand and the exact furniture models mentioned and really appreciated that I could do some research and find out more about the characters I liked so much. Two down, one more left to go in this trilogy! I really enjoyed The Girl Who Played with Fire. It was nice and suspenseful and the plot twists definitely threw me off guard. At one part in particular, my mouth actually dropped open in surprise.
The hardest part of reading this novel for me were the names. All of the character names and locations are Swedish, and I don't have the foggiest idea of how to pronounce any of them, so it makes them difficult to remember. Sometimes I had to flip back a ...more
