I am trying to read more classics so I picked this one up for my June selection!
I found this book to be sweet and a fun read. Though I thought Anne was slightly annoying, I enjoyed watching her grow. Also how marilla’s feelings for Anne developed!

What a treat to read ANNE OF GREEN GABLES as Lucy Maub Montgomery saw it in publication. The original art and all of the proof reading mistakes are here in this 100th year republication, but don’t let the mistakes spoil this classic tale of Anne with an E as she becomes an essential part of Matthew and Ismirella Cuthbert life. I hadn't read this book since the first time as a much younger person. I was somewhat afraid it would leave me disappointed with my jaded adult perspective. Thankfully, joyfully, it did not. I laughed through the tears with as much enjoyment as I must have in my teens. It also makes me want to visit PEI even more than ever!
