I have had this book on my shelf for several decades, but finally got around to reading it. I really enjoyed this account of King Arthur's life and reign. White apparently adapted this story on that previously told by Malory in La Morte d'Arthur, and refers to Malory from time to time. The book is structured into four books or sections: The Sword in the Stone, The Queen of Air and Darkness, The Ill-Made Knight, and The Candle in the Wind.
