This was an enjoyable classic. Really enjoyed my read!
I own no less than three editions of Jane Eyre and would happily collect more. I have read this enduring classic three times and will most likely pick it up again in a year or two. One word to describe this book: classic!
I went to see this movie and I loved the movie so much I decided to read the book and let me say I was very disappointed. The movie did not do the book justice! There are so many things that were left out, so much dialogue cut, so many characters that the audience never got to fall in love with. This book is absolutely beautiful.

This book is long, maybe it was because I just came off of reading Dracula or maybe it's because I'm just not a romantic but by part three I just wanted to finish the book and move on. Saying that I enjoyed the first two parts and with out having to tag this as a spoiler the sense where Rochester's past is illuminated is probably one of my favorite and most powerful scene in the novel. The novel is beautiful and in typical gothic style the landscape reflects the turmoil in Jane's emotions.
