One of the best books I ever read is CUTTING FOR STONE by Abraham Verghese, a family saga that takes place in India, Ethiopia, and the United States.
The book begins with the biological parents of twins but continues with the twins and the man and woman who become their real parents. Both the biological parents and the real parents have come to Ethiopia from India to practice medicine among the needy. One of them is English; three are Indian.

I enjoyed the book. I think it was a not put down book especially the relationship with the two brothers and how they worked things out. It was also great the way the Drs. came together with the two boys.
