I received this beautiful 1966 leather-bound edition of The Hobbit as a result of winning a contest on author G.T. Denny's blog. I wanted to publicly thank him for such a wonderful prize which, of course inspired me to re-read the novel.

A really well written and engaging modern fairy tale, and example of the epic journey undertaken by men of great honor and courage. They jsut happen to be 4 feet tall in this book.
I tried several times to get into this book, but it just didn't happen. I think I just don't like this genre.
