Re-read 2017

I have been a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's work since I was 4 years old and my older brother took me to see the animated movie. I first read the novel when I was 7 and prior to that I had a read along record for children. I can't tell you how many times I've read or listened to this book since then, or how many copies I've owned. It's always nice to go back and re-read a favorite. ...more

Just as good as I remember... if not better as I picked up on a few things that I missed/forgot about the first time around.

Fantastic even the second time round. I forgot much of the excitement at the end, and what important life lessons this book has. The songs are excellent too. A timeless book for all ages!
