Viihdyttävä ja hyvin kirjoitettu teos. Maailma on mielenkiintoinen ja tarina etenee varsin vauhdikkaasti. Puolenvälin jälkeen tosin lakkasin odottamasta juonen käänteiltä mitään kovin erikoista. Päähenkilö lähinnä vain kulkee ennaltamäärättyä lineaarista reittiä, johon ei itse pysty vaikuttamaan.

Lisäksi eragonin oppimiskäyrä on exponentiaalinen.. Mikä ei ole kauhean uskottavaa. Lisää hämmennystä asiaan tuo taitojen keskimäärin surkea hyödyntäminen käytännössä. Eragon on siis teoriassa nero, mut ...more

After the first hundred pages...this really starts to pick up and pulls you in..up until then I had to force myself to keep going back; it wasn't bad...just lengthy in description I wasn't interested in.

I enjoyed the story much! Although people have said that Mr Paolini has copied from the ever famous Lord of the Rings...while I agree that there are some things that are similar, he's done a great job of keeping his story fresh and interesting and new enough to make you want to see what happnes n ...more

I found this story intriguing, even if the style it's written in took a while to get in to. The one thing I can say, DON'T judge this book by its movie. The movie was such an abomination and really should've had a different title with how much it varied from the book. Paolini actually does some really beautiful things with the way he ties events and significance to each other in this book.
