I'm still not quite sure how I feel about this book series. Great story idea, and an interesting dual-narrator thing going on. But sometimes the writing is a bit clunky. I'm glad the main character wasn't instantly adjusted to the crazy shenanigans happening around him, but his development was a bit... unsettled for me. And the violence was a bit violent haha. A great fantasy/adventure book though, and the plot really started moving toward the last few chapters. I'll try going on in the series t ...more
