Sadly, this novel is my least favourite Austen novel, simply because I found it to be boring. Sure, the Victorians wrote unapologetically long novels which contemporary readers find to be excessive, but I really did find this story to be a bit of a drag, with little action in a lot of words. Nevertheless, this novel is undoubtedly a quick read.
