If Hugh Howey's Wool are like crack, then surely Molly Fyde is the gateway drug. Fortunately, I didn't need a Medical Molly card to get me some.

Hugh just can't write a bad story. I never would have thought I could get sucked into a YA Sci-fi story about a girl, but damned if I'm not about to order the next book ASAP! Molly and her motley collection of alien crewmen have me dying to know what happens next!

Hated the two seconds it took to close this and start the second book in the series. Draws you in and won't let go.

This brings me back to one of my favorite scifi serials, Lucky Starr by Isaac Asimov. Howey hits all the great stuff of youth adventure scifi tales and hits it just right. Adorable characters, trauma, suspense, relief, great metanarratives, all the stuff that still turns my noodle. Ah, to be young Cole.... Great stuff.
