From the Bookshelf of Closter Public Library…

[close] A very satisfying mystery combined with a dysfunctional family, wrapped up in the heat of Australia's Outback close to Christmas. It tells the story of the Bright brothers, mostly from Nathan's point of view, as he and "Bub" are faced with the death of their brother Cameron. Cameron was a seasoned rancher, whose body is inexplicably found miles from his well-supplied car, a death sentence in the harsh landscape. As they explore a motivation for his death, past family conflicts surface, and Nathan struggles to reconnect with the town and people who have ostracized him (another plot line that is interesting). While all the threads are tied up a little too perfectly I enjoyed the plot, and found the character development to be particularly strong.
