This novella continues the story of Murderbot (a human robot construct that is self aware and named itself) who befriends the powerful intrusive bot that pilots a research transport. There is much humor as these two bond over downloaded soap operas meant for humans. Murderbot is traveling to fill in the gaps where it's memory has been wiped after it went rogue and murdered the humans it was supposed to protect. What singles this series out is how Murderbot grapples with it's identity and self worth, despite it's protestations it comes off as very human. Very enjoyable, I look forward to the next two in the series.
