This is a long book that felt really long. I am not sure why I finished it, Lombardo is a good writer, but I could not relate to the characters at all, they are really a bunch of whiny white people. The book tells the story of David and Marilyn who fall in love and marry in the early 80's, and as we are told over and over, they remain passionately in love with each other through 40 plus years of marriage.
