Surprisingly I actually really enjoyed this book. I think I was forced to read it in High School and perhaps that is why I didn't think I would enjoy it. Imagine a word where books were burned. What would I do in my free time?

I get why they would have High Schooler's read this, there is plenty to analyze, it just wasn't that interesting to me. Just seemed like a less interesting 1984 or The Giver.

I loved this book. Though the author is kind of a fanatic about media and politically correctness. It was written in the 50's and I wonder what he thinks of life today! And the ending was a little disappointing. But I still loved it!

Though I see the potential that his book has to be great for some, it didn't do it for me. It was oddly written in such a way that you felt as if you spent most of your time trying to understand just what the real story was behind all of the words. Maybe I just didn't like Ray Bradbury's take on an unforeseeable future where humanity is reduced to an unthinking, unfeeling society.

I loved the themes that arose in this book. The society in this book is very similar to our society today - amazingly so considering it was written in the 1950's. This was not an easy read for me - I didn't ever feel like I couldn't wait to sit down and read. But I did appreciate the message.
