I read this because it was one of the top books of all time checked out at the New York public library. It was the only one of the top ten I hadn’t read so I decided I’d better read this classic. It’s a dystopian novel about a future society where the government wants full control, so they keep the people “happy”, but being constantly stimulated by noise and colors. So, the first third of the book was pretty good. Interesting, thought-provoking. The last half was a jumbled mess. The character made too many stupid mistakes, and the ending didn't resolve anything for me.
