This is one of those books that will last the centuries. Her ability to write with such precision and understanding of human nature is astounding and brilliant. This is why I think it will resonate with audiences forever. Her craft to help us reach outside of ourselves to see others perspectives and the godliness in all of us is how we incite change. This wasn't my favorite classic book. At 20 chapters in new characters were still being introduced with seemingly little connection or plot. It was rather tedious and there was a bit too much extraneous commentary. Eventually there were some good plot twists and love stories. In the end I do feel like I learned some and was uplifted so I think I'm glad I stuck with it. There would also be plenty to discuss about this book. Great English classic literature. 28 hours of audio even on 1.5 speed was too long for me but she did a great job with her character development. Dorthea was definitely my favorite character. The audio reader was five star, she did an excellent job with changing her voice for the different characters.
