I loved this book. At first, I couldn't think of anything negative to bring it down from 5 stars. But here's my minor items of criticism: 1. The name of the rock band is a little crude. Granted, there is a story behind it. 2. Hearing everything twice (from each of their points of view) made me feel like walking ahead two steps to take one step back, over and over. 3. It ended too suddenly. I wanted to see more of the conversation at the end.

clever and funny. amazingly original voices and characters. deep moral message, but executed with a deft touch. highly recommended, especially for the 12 yr old crowd.

a much, much better variation of the same theme as spinelli's "stargirl."

clean language, and no objectionable content. hoorah! ...more
