This was a cute book, hard to get into at first, but still I enjoyed it. It was a little predictable, but also, it is a young adult book, so it fit that perfect. I enjoyed reading it.
I reread this book because I wanted to read the sequel. I almost NEVER reread books but it had been too long since I read the original and I couldn't remember a thing about it. Usually I just look up plot summaries on the internet, but I really wanted to immerse myself in the story again. I wasn't disappointed. I still enjoyed the story....the setting, the plot, and the characters were all delightful.

A little too juvenile for me...too cheesey and predictable. BUT I think that if I hadn't just read the book thief which was aimed at about the same audience, I would have liked it better. I think young girls would like it. It's cute and if I was reading it with my daughter I think I would have really enjoyed it (she's a bit too young at this point).

Very cute book. Shannon Hale is a great writer, transports me into the story. Great story, in a fantasy genre, about the effects of education and strong will. Very sweet.
I read this book because of all the great reviews I received from friends on Goodreads. I agree wholeheartedly with all of those reviews. It is such a GREAT book!
I really enjoyed this book. This is the first Shannon Hale book I read and I liked it. I liked the way the author wrote and the story was interesting. It had many good messages.

Although this book was written for a younger audience, I enjoyed the story, the characters and the setting.
Who wouldn't want to be a princess? Another wonderful read by Shannon Hale.
