This book has been waiting for me to read it for quite some time. I finally picked it up last night and finished it the next day.

I'd actually give this 3 1/2 stars. A cute Young Adult Fiction/Fantasy story. It reminded me of when I took a YA Literature class in grad school--we had to read 100 books in a quarter! There are some great books in the YA category...and it's nice to have a quick read now and then.

Very cute book. Shannon Hale is a great writer, transports me into the story. Great story, in a fantasy genre, about the effects of education and strong will. Very sweet.
I really enjoyed this book. This is the first Shannon Hale book I read and I liked it. I liked the way the author wrote and the story was interesting. It had many good messages.
i like shannon hale - all her books are uplifting, quick reads that are fun and fairy tail-ish happy. If you like that sort of thing, you'll like her stuff.
