What Members Thought

Not as funny as the first set of Percy Jackson books, this new series has an engaging opening and a strikingly different cast of characters. There are still a few of the old crew appearing in more minor roles, but the core cast of three is completely new and well done. Based on the concept that the Roman gods are different aspects of the Greek gods that appeared in the earlier series, some Christians will be uncomfortable with the book. On the whole, I found it to be a clean, enjoyable read.

I read this very fast, because I had a hard time putting it down. Its another book about demi-gods and as good as the Percy Jackson books, with some great new heroes, Jason the son of Jupiter, Piper daughter of Aphrodite and Leo son of Hephaestus, they also have a cool bronze dragon, and run into some scary monsters, giants and once dead mortals. A must read for Percy Jackson fans.

This book was soooo good and such a great transition from the Percy Jackson series! I really loved it! Since The Last Olympian was a 5 for me I had to give this one a 5 too since it was even better. I also think by writing for young adults, there was a vast improvement in the quality of writing all around. Can't wait for the next book!
