Wow! What an ending! This is the 2nd book I've ready by Charles Martin, and it was another hit in my book! It took a little longer for me to get into. Plane crash in a mountain with a doctor who just also happens to know a lot about wilderness survival??? Seems like too much of a coincidence. However, when I was able to get past that, I really enjoyed the story. I found myself eager for both parts of the story. Great survival story with a surprise twist toward the end.
I really liked this book. This is a book club book and I don't usually read these kinds of books, too Nicholas Sparkish for me, but I liked that there was a survival theme to it. I liked the twist at the end.

I liked the Water Keeper series better, but thought this was still good. There were a few really convenient devices by the author that made it a little unbelievable, but at the same time without them the story would have been “a plane crashed, and two people died.
