Whoa whoa whoa! I need more. What just happened? It was beautiful, I felt this spiritual parallel to Christ Throughout the story. I didn't realize this was a series when I finished it. I'll be checking out the next one for sure.

I give this 5 stars as a book for youth. Thought-provoking and worth reading at any age.
I've read this before, long ago. Loved it just as much, understood it better.

LOVED this book. I read it in three hours; I couldn't put it down! Loved the message it sent, and the writing was fabulous. Easy reading and thought provoking. And on the "Bad Stuff" scale: I'll recommend it to my mom. And that says something!

Very interesting with alot to think about. A friend suggested that this book is what it would be like if we were living Satan's plan. I really looked at The Giver as a Christ figure with him taking all the memories upon himself so that the people would not suffer.
