What Members Thought
I know. I'm supposed to give this 5 stars. But I am an adult who never read this in school. It was published after I graduated! So it read a little young. Jonas never quite became a real person with real emotion. I understand what it is trying to teach but I don't get why it is so emotional for people. It just never came alive for me.

Bonnie at swimming told me about this author. Checked out n tape and listened to as we went to Idaho. Interesting concept of a different world. What some men to not do for power over others.
I think I was a little late reading this. people tell me I was supposed to have read this in high school. I was supposed to have read a lot of books in high school that I didn't read. So, now I have. It was different, but entertaining. Kindof left me hanging on the end.

I realized in reading this again that I did not remember anything from it. What a fascinating story! I was torn how to rate it especially since the ending happened so fast, but ultimately I really did feel it was amazing and worthy of a 5. I'm dying to read what happens next!

I devoured this book in an afternoon, sobbing through parts of it. We took a road trip later that week, so I read it aloud to my husband as he drove. I could read it over and over and over.
Excellent Book - makes you really appreciate you free agency!
