Super predictable and not quite as magical as I was expecting. The pacing was excruciatingly slow. It had its moments, but overall, a bit of a disappointment. I am looking forward to the movie, however; Tom Hanks will be the perfect Ove.
I loved this book. Loved loved loved. Backman's humor is a little dark, but I really liked it. I have known a few "Oves" in my lifetime. I think this book shows you that you can't judge a book by it's cover, that sometimes behind a crusty exterior there is a person that is trying to do their best and live a good life. I am grateful that there are people like Ove. I understand his grief and while I don't condone what he did, I can imagine what pain he must have been going through.

What a shame it took me so long to read this. It’s a very lovely story, with such surprising moments of humor throughout.
I started Ove a few years, but the themes of suicide in the book kept me from finishing it until last night. I'm sorry that I dragged it out for so long! What a great book! This is one of the most heartwarming books I've read in a long time. It's not often that a book brings me to tears, but this one did it and kept me up reading until way past my bedtime! I am so glad that I circled back!

I could see some potential for some heartwarming character development, but to start Ove was unpleasant to read about and then the cursing was too much for me.
I loved this, and so did my hubby. Ove is such a likeable, albeit curmudgeonly guy. I laughed out loud several times.
My favorite book of 2017! When I finished this book I couldn't start a new one for a couple of days because I didn't want to leave it or the characters.
