Wonderful retelling of the Beauty and the Beast Fairy Tale. Good clean read!!
LOVE IT!
There's a little too much telling and not enough showing. Plus, the super descriptive parts were parts that really didn't need to be super descriptive. And I feel like the whole narrative wasn't balanced very well. I wish there had been more emphasis put on the developing relationship between Beauty and the Beast instead of on Beauty's back story. I still love the story, and really, the issue might just be that the target audience is younger than what I was expecting.

Well written, enjoyable retelling of a favorite story.
I liked the idea of this book, but found my attention going elsewhere every time I started reading it. Lots and lots of description and what I felt was unnecessary. Funny thing though, when it came time to describe the Beast it fell short! I had no idea what he looked like other than being hairy and big and wore clothes. So I just imagined the Beast from the Disney movie. Fun read, but not excellent.
I read this a long time ago. It was as good as I remembered! Beauty and the Beast has always been a favorite tale of mine and this is a wonderful telling of that tale.
It was okay. I guess I was looking for some kind of a twist or something... I liked it, but it just didn't blow my socks off.
