I enjoyed "The Blue Sword" and was surprised to find that I hadn't read it before like I'd thought. I liked that it was unique and different in many ways. The setting and descriptions of the people invoke images of the desert and The Arabian Nights mixed with almost a hint of Camelot.

A little slow at the beginning but it picked up the pace by the end. It is the story of a girl who is taken by the king of the hillfolk. She finds that she has a special gift that helps her people in the upcoming battle with the Northerners.
I Loved this book! I can't believe I put off reading it for so long...
