What Members Thought

What a tedious book. TEDIOUS. This is my second time reading it. I had to read it because I got the third book and couldn't remember what had happened in the first two. All I can say is that the new movie coming out that looks so fantabulous must be combining all 3 books because this first one has hardly anything exciting in it at all. The heroes are kidnapped. One escapes. He is captured. Two others escape. One does something stupid. One other is captured. Someone escapes. Someone is captured.

I loved this book! I'd seen the movie first, so had pictures in my mind of how things should go, but the book far surpassed those expectations. Dustfinger was such a great character, and I may need to read the sequel to find out what happens to him. All in all, I was very glad I picked up this book.

This was a fun book, though I wasn't sure I'd love it when I started off. It got more exciting as it went on though.

I have to agree with Lisa's review on this book. The whole premise was fascinating but the delivery just seemed to drag on for me. I gave it 3 stars because there was a lot of potential in it, but I was bored and disappointed. I think this may be a rare occasion where the movie is better than the book--less detail and wordiness.

Didn't like it as much. I listened to it on CD and it seemed to drag on and on. Maybe if I read it it would have been better. Elinor seemed too cranky and Dustfinger too mean.
