I read this book in a day and a half on a cruise. It was a super easy read and a lot of fun. Jane is a 33 yr old woman who is obsessed with Jane Austen's Mr. Darcy. Jane believes this obsession has contributed to her singledom, as she is waiting for her own Mr. Darcy. She is given a vacation to Austenland from a relative who passes away in an attempt to help her figure out exactly what she wants. This was a nice easy read. This a modern romance story with the setting of Jane Austen's, Pride and prejudice. The main character Jane, who is a 30 something educated woman who is disillusioned about men. She's been waiting for her Mr Darcy all her life and when her great Aunt Carolyn dies she leaves her a 3 wk vacation to "Austenland". This place is where she can live out her Darcy dream and than get on with the real world where there are no "Mr Darcy's.

started slow, redeeming end.

not excellent writing, not excellent narration (audiobook) but neither was terribly annoying and this was what I was in the mood for.
