This "book" is really the second volume of Charity Envieth Not. The story stops abruptly at the end of book 1. The story starts abruptly at the start of this book.

You really need to read them together.

The author was true to the "voice" and language of the original without copying phrasing or sections of text from the original. The events relating to the main characters from Emma (Mr. Knightley, Emma, Harriet, Martin, Elton, etc) are canonical but Mr. Knightley has many other dealings in his lif
