Shortly after finishing this book, a friend asked me what it's like. She asked me if its more like The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices and I told her that its like neither. This book, although set in the same world as the other two series, holds its own. Ever since The Dark Artifices was announced right around the time the release of Clockwork Princess (which was almost 4 years ago) I've highly expected it, and the appearances the characters made in TMI made me slowly love them even more. But now I've finally finished it, IT WAS WAS A WORTHWHILE WAIT OF 4 YEARS!!!!!! Cassandra Clare just knows so much on how to manipulate her stories without it being too repetitive but still has a unique touch from all the other series.

Okaaah it took me a year to finish this book. You know why right? IT'S HUGE! And let's not talk about the pace! It broke my heart in many ways but I'm wary because I know Cassandra...I feel it in my bones, they'll end up together, in the end them being parabatai won't matter or will disappear and I can't ship that. Love, love, love!!!! Cassandra Clare never fails when it comes to creating characters who captures our hearts. From our main characters Emma and Julian to our more secondary characters like Tavvy, each feels fleshed out and I feel in love with all of them!
Epic and fantastic! I missed Cassandra Clare's writing and this made me fall in love again.
