I loved everything about this book! I haven’t read a Clare book in years and forgot how much I enjoy her writing & world. The characters in this trilogy may be my favorite of hers so far 😍 And I love the incorporation of all of our favorite characters from TMI & TID — also love how all of the Shadowhunter families are connected, related, bonded. Once again, Cassie Clare made me fall in love with her amazing characters and her story. Personally I think her heroines have since matured since Clary (in the first 3 books), then Tessa and now Emma. Emma is such a strong character and I like her already, as well as Julian and basically everyone else because who wouldn't love them.

My goodness, it feels like it took forever to finish this book! I loved it so much! I missed reading a Cassie Clare book, and I'd forgotten how addicting they can be. This book felt different from her others, mostly because the protagonist has always been a Shadowhunter, so we didn't have to discover the world for the first time with her. I love all of Cassandra Clare's books! This is Emma Cairstair and Julian Blackthorn story along with Mark Blackthorn all of who we met in the earlier series. A lot of the characters from the previous book make appearances in this book and it might be a little confusing if you have not read them. My only regret is not waiting for all books in this series to be completed before I started them because I really don't want to wait to see if Emma makes that horrible choice that I think she is going to

The book contains a lot of detailed description that sometimes can be very distracting and annoying. I know it's for making a better background for the characters but at times it can be unnecessary on certain events. But still i enjoyed the book since it's about star-crossed lovers. :) ...more
