Strengths
1. All the characters were likeable
2. Most were well-developed
3. The world was rich and immersive as always
4. Relationship dynamics were strong

1. Plot was (in my opinion) very flimsy. For such a long book I felt like nothing much happened plot-wise even though a lot did happen.

Once again, Cassie Clare made me fall in love with her amazing characters and her story. Personally I think her heroines have since matured since Clary (in the first 3 books), then Tessa and now Emma. Emma is such a strong character and I like her already, as well as Julian and basically everyone else because who wouldn't love them.

My goodness, it feels like it took forever to finish this book! I loved it so much! I missed reading a Cassie Clare book, and I'd forgotten how addicting they can be. This book felt different from her others, mostly because the protagonist has always been a Shadowhunter, so we didn't have to discover the world for the first time with her. Also, modern mundane technology has been incorporated into the shadow world for the first time really, giving it a totally different feel! I loved all the new

The book contains a lot of detailed description that sometimes can be very distracting and annoying. I know it's for making a better background for the characters but at times it can be unnecessary on certain events. But still i enjoyed the book since it's about star-crossed lovers. :) ...more
