From cave kisses and twin thrones to weddings and funerals, City of Heavenly Fire is an epic read.
Be prepared to cry both happy tears...and many, many sad tears.
Because Cassandra Clare has done what Cassandra Clare does best: she's given us a tale filled with our favourite characters and plenty of chances for these characters to make a mess of things, almost-die, kiss, and throw about snarky commentary (and then almost-die again).

One thing I will give to Cassandra Clare is that she wraps up each of her series with a tight little bow. I feel that was a pretty good ending to this series. Now, do I still believe it should have ended with 3 books? Sure. Books 4 and 5 were definitely not my favorite. But she did bring it all back in the final installment.

I freaking loved this book. This is is the best ending to a series I have ever read. It was soooo long, but it was sooo worth it. I felt like I was being taken on a journey, from the beginning to the end, filled with countless surprises, thrills, mystery, suspense, and of course, romance. I felt a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I was really emotionally invested in the characters.
I really love how Cassandra Clare combined the past, present, and future in this one. Emma Carstairs definitely stole ...more

This book was absolutely amazing, and such a great ending to an amazing series. I was totally satisfied with this ending, and I honestly wish it never ended. I hope to see some of these characters again in future books. This book definitely knew how to break my heart, but then put it right back together.

I cannot even begin to know what to say, except that I feel as though I've been on a great journey with these books and I already miss the characters, especially Jace. Fabulous just fabulous...
