This book starts right where the first left off. In Clockwork Prince many things occur sending readers off on another adventure. Tessa, Will, Charlotte and their fellow Shadowhunters find the reason behind the Magisters vendetta against the Clave. And it dates back to the death of his parents. Someone in the Clave turns against Charlotte seeking her title. Tessa starts to seek answers to her parentage. Our fave Shadowhunters discover a traitor amongst friends. And Tessa's heart is pulled in two directions. Which path does she choose?!

Thoughts
The magister wrecks havoc in this book with out making an appearance himself. I guess i can compare him to the devil since he sends others to do his dirty work and has created his own minion army of automaton's. Again Clare kept the suspense factor and managed to pull a few twist that shocked the socks off me. Relationships grew in this book i enjoyed the way Charlotte and Henry loved eachother. I also enjoyed seeing the prospect of new love forming for Sophie.
- Tessa grew into her own she was strong and confident. I love the relationship with Tessa and Sophie, all girls need someone to share and relate with. Her love life is a whole other issue i thought she was in love with both Will and Jem but it b/comes all to clear to me that she is madly in love with one.
- Will was so tortured i really felt for him and i'm not sure how he will get pass some of the things that happened in this book. Will deserves true love and happiness and i hope he finds it.
- Jem, Jem, Jem, when i think of Jem i think sweet, kind, loyal and trusting. I hate that Jem suffers and i hope they find something to bring his suffering to an end. Jem deserves true love and happiness and i hope he finds it.

I am loving this story and i cannot wait for Clockwork Princess. I also cannot wait to learn more about the origin of Tessa's parents b/cause it is sure to effect her future.

Paraphrasing Shadowhunters, the truth is harsh, but it is the truth. My truth is that I'm very disappointed in this book. I can't say I disliked it, but this is the lowest rating I've ever given to one of C. Clare's creations. I just know she can do better than this.
Maybe it is just me, the fact that I have low tolerance for love triangles and unnecessary drama these days, because, honestly, CP is one big heart wrenching love triangle. And it bothered me a lot.
In Clockwork Angel, Tessa was intro Paraphrasing Shadowhunters, the truth is harsh, but it is the truth. My truth is that I'm very disappointed in this book. In Clockwork Angel, Tessa was introduced as a girl who was all hung up on proper and improper behavior, and was shocked when Will gripped her hand because that was not what a gentleman would do. Well, now it seems like she is a totally different person, nearly getting naked with Jem in his room on his bed (and wanting to go all the way with him!) one night and making out on a balcony with Will another night. Shake and repeat, again and again. I love Will, but I love Jem too, so let me lead on both of them. Phew! I'm not one to judge morals, but I disliked Tessa for that. And for a well-read person that she appears to be, she is shockingly unperceptive in regard to Will's feelings.
And I can't believe that being parabatai and friends so close they could practically guess each other's thoughts, both guys never once noticed one another's feelings for Tessa, not in all this time. And what about Will wanting to break his curse only when Tessa came along? He didn't try to do it for his friend Jem, who he claimed he would do anything for, or for his family, real and adopted. And what did they all see in Tessa, anyway? For instance, Sophie was just as good, if not better, but neither Will nor Jem ever paid her any attention as a love interest.
The plot was vapid, and as I already said, served more as an excuse for Tessa to spend time with one boy and then with the other boy. The main villain of the story didn't even make an appearance, and the substitute villains were not that scary.
I'm going to read Clockwork Princess sometime, to see how the story is resolved. I already know who Tessa is going to end up with, but I want to read all the minor details that might be important in City of Heavenly Fire. I'm sure the two stories are going to be intertwined.

Oh my gosh. Thats all I can say to explain the amazingness of this book. It quite honestly affected my life! The death, the betrayal, the choices. I shant reveal any spoilers, but I will say some things. If I were Tessa, having to choose between kind and good Jem, or Handsome and misunderstood Will ( he has a very good reason for acting the way he does) I would do much more than burn myself with a metal poker.
