Major Spoilers from books 1-3 and Minor from 4
Simon being front and center in this book is wonderful.It adds such depth to his character and you get to see him a lot throw his own eyes.Usually you just see him throw Clary's.I have always wanted to see more of Simon trying to adjust to being a vampire and learning to live with the Mark of Cain.In this book you see that and I feel for him in his struggle and just want to give him a big hug.

I keep waiting for this series to disappoint me somewhere and I have yet to encounter that problem. Four books in and I'm still overly obsessed. Cassandra Clare created such an amazing series, characters and world that I can't hardly put the book down. I may hate what's going with Jace right now but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that in 2014 when the series ends that it ends the way Clary and Jace deserve. Didn't think it was as great as the rest of the books. Started out as a "normal teenage drama" kind of book for me but it picked up at the end eventually.
