The City of Ashes as you know is the second installment of the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. There's Clary, who's still mourning for her mother, Luke who is the only one Clary has that's close to family, and Jace, who she recently found out that he was her brother, after sharing some feelings for each other. It's really awkward to find in the book that they still love each other, not the brotherly sister love, but the deep, intense love, that was visible to everyone around but them.
