The reviews for this books seemed mixed, they indicated it's not Meltzer's best. But the setting - the National Archives - and the fact that several of the main characters are Archivists, made me pick it up. I liked the story, I found many of the characters & their interaction just slightly annoying. It seemed like almost every interaction involved one character telling the other that they "weren't HEARING what I'm saying" or "just LISTEN to me", in identical words every time, at the same time t ...more

It was fun reading about the National Archives but felt this was a book you could finish with a week at the beach.

Fun to have a mystery set in the National Archives and with archivists as the main characters, but a lot of it was over the top and I couldn't follow some of the story line. ...more
