borrowed from valerie. i'll admit straight up that i stayed awake most of last night to finish this one. easily the best in the series up to this point -- rowling really finds her stride writing about the political intrigue and bureaucratic in-fighting amongst the wizards. (bonus points: she makes it clear how important quidditch is to the characters without boring me about the gory details. sweet.) i'm going to take a short break and now, that book was just too long for me to bounce straight in
