I had heard a lot about this book, and reading it was in my plans for a long time. Finally I managed to, and am left baffled and disappointed. A group of British boys are somehow left on an uninhabited island. They belong to different ages, youngest being 6, and eldest perhaps 12 or 13. They form bands and alliances and learn how to survive nature.
