Not as great a books as I imagined it to be.
Nevertheless, a quick read.
This short novel is all about a free spirit named Holly Golightly, who can never be committed to a person or a place. The narrator meets her when she comes as one of the tenants of his dragon of a landlady. Holly has no qualms in disturbing people at any time of day and night, she has lots of men friends, and she has no inhibitions.

This novella is a lovely story about a young author and his down-stairs neighbor, Holly Golightly. The author and Holly are both seeking "something" and are trying to figure out where they belong. In 1958, when it was written, the story must have struck a cord with some, but been quite an alien concept to others. Now, it is probably closer to reality for many young adults starting out in life - though hopefully not modeling Holly's career choices! ...more

I had seen the movie, not knowing it was a book. I adored this little book. It was just so good. If you like the movie, the book really is better. 50/1,001
