Beautifully written. Each story is having its own thematic, each of them gives you something to think about.
While it is true that some of the ideas have been (since 1950) expressed in somewhat better wording, I believe it is important to judge the context as well. I believe this is important especially with these kind of books.

I loved this book and regret that I haven't read it earlier in my life! I love how Bradbury was able to look at all sorts of personalities and how they might cope with life on another planet. I loved that the martians were all unique and so well described. I loved the illustrations in my edition because although they weren't necessarily what I would have pictured, they show another person's interpretation, which does seem to be of relevance to the chronicles. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!
