Anyone who knows about this book will recognize it isn't for everyone (not for the faint-of-heart, as it were). Yeah, pedophilia isn't a topic we usually seek out. But Lolita is often on the top 100 list of important American Literature, and there's a reason for that - it's absolutely brilliant. The writing is erudite, and the whole book is very consciously structured.
