Is it possible to like a book and hate its characters? Yes it is, this book just proved that to me.
Thackeray named this story 'A novel without a hero' and how right he was. Not a single character within its pages can be said to be 'good' or 'bad'. All of them have their flaws and thats what brings the characterisation to life. Makes them more human, so to speak.

The first thing I can say about this book is Oh Gad I am so glad that I am done. I really wanted to put this book down several times, but I made it through.
Overall I feel this book was incredibly disappointing. I feel like I must be missing something since it is so well rated. I think the primary issue I had with the book is the author is too wordy for no reason and it doesn't do anything to advance the text. This book could have been great at 400 pages.
