Is it possible to like a book and hate its characters? Yes it is, this book just proved that to me.
Thackeray named this story 'A novel without a hero' and how right he was. Not a single character within its pages can be said to be 'good' or 'bad'. All of them have their flaws and thats what brings the characterisation to life. Makes them more human, so to speak.
