What Members Thought
I missed this book in classic-reading adolescence, and I'm so glad I read it now as an adult. It's brilliantly written and details a remarkable and upsetting time in our history. Despite the fact that the book's stature as a classic has made some of the characters iconic, they are real people you care about as you read the story, and they are people I continue to think about, months after finishing the book. A book that sticks with me like that is a mighty fine read.
